Free Use License
This license is intended to keep TIGER Funding Radar free to use while protecting the software, its identity, and the creator’s work. “Software” means the compiled TIGER Funding Radar binary distributions, launchers, bundled documentation, logos, and related release materials provided with version 2.2.86. Source code is not licensed or distributed under this license.
1. Free license grant
Subject to these terms, the copyright holder grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use unmodified TIGER binary distributions for personal, educational, academic, research, government, and internal organizational purposes.
2. Permitted sharing
You may redistribute complete, unmodified copies of an official TIGER binary package at no charge, provided that the copyright notice, this license, the privacy policy, attribution, and bundled documentation remain intact. You may charge only reasonable media or direct distribution costs and may not charge a software license fee for TIGER itself.
3. Restrictions
Without prior written permission from the copyright holder, you may not:
- sell, sublicense, relicense, rent, or commercially resell TIGER;
- white-label TIGER, remove creator attribution, or imply that you created or own the software;
- offer TIGER itself as a paid hosted service or paid software product;
- redistribute modified binaries under the TIGER name in a way that could be confused with an official release;
- use TIGER trademarks, logos, LSU marks, or other branding to imply endorsement that has not been granted;
- use the Software to violate law, policy, third-party rights, access controls, data-source terms, or confidentiality obligations.
4. Data and external services
TIGER can interact with external public-data and scholarly services. Your use of those services is subject to their terms, rate limits, privacy policies, and licenses. This TIGER license does not grant rights to third-party data.
5. LSU SPA data
No LSU SPA workbook is licensed or distributed with the public software package. Users are responsible for obtaining authorization before importing institutional SPA data and for complying with institutional confidentiality, records, and data-governance requirements.
6. Results and decision support
TIGER provides research and funding intelligence, rankings, comparisons, and evidence-alignment signals for decision support. Outputs may contain errors, omissions, stale information, or source-data limitations. Users remain responsible for checking official funding announcements, sponsor requirements, institutional records, and source documents before acting.
7. No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR CONTINUED AVAILABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
8. Attribution
When TIGER is publicly demonstrated, redistributed, or described in documentation or publications, please retain reasonable attribution to Ibrahim (Abe) Baggili as the creator of TIGER Funding Radar.
9. Termination
Your rights under this license end automatically if you materially violate its terms. Rights may be restored if the violation is corrected and the copyright holder does not object.
10. Separate permission
If you want to commercially resell TIGER, provide TIGER as a paid hosted service, distribute a modified branded version, or obtain rights beyond this free-use license, you must obtain separate written permission from the copyright holder.
